Who it suits
- Black and colour tattoosThe laser's four available wavelengths are matched to the specific ink colours present.
- Semi-permanent eyebrow, eyeliner and lip makeupIncluding pieces that have faded or discoloured over time.
- Tattoos that did not fully clear with older nanosecond lasersPicosecond pulses break up ink that proved resistant to earlier technology.

What it does
PicoWay breaks tattoo ink into fragments small enough for the body's own clearance systems to remove, using ultra-short picosecond pulses that generate less heat than older nanosecond lasers, which in turn lowers the scarring risk. Four separate wavelengths are available, covering black ink as well as blue, green, red and the mixed pigments found in semi-permanent makeup.
How it is planned here
Before treatment, the dermatologist tests how the specific ink responds and uses that to choose the wavelength and the interval between sessions. Work near the eyes and lips, typically semi-permanent makeup, is handled with extra care given the proximity to delicate tissue, and larger tattoos are priced by area once the test spot has been assessed.
What to expect
The tattoo visibly whitens immediately after treatment, followed by about a week of redness and light scabbing as it heals. Amateur tattoos tend to fade within just a few sessions, while professional work and colour tattoos typically require six to ten sessions spaced six to eight weeks apart.
Questions
Can I complete removal during one trip?
No. Sessions must be spaced six to eight weeks apart; the clinic plans the series around your visits.
Does it scar?
Rarely, with picosecond technology and correct aftercare.
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream is used; the sensation is a snapping heat.
Why does the clinic scan my skin before choosing a laser?
Pigment, redness and pores look similar from the outside but sit at different depths and have different causes. The Mark-Vu scan shows what is under the surface, so the laser and settings are chosen for your skin rather than by guesswork. The wrong laser can make melasma worse.
Will laser treatment work on my skin tone?
Yes. Picosecond toning, vascular lasers and BBL are used safely across skin types when settings follow the skin-type reading; the dermatologist adjusts energy for darker or tanned skin and may do a test spot first.
How much downtime should I expect?
Toning and V-Beam: none to a day of mild redness. Spot treatment of sun spots: a small scab for five to seven days. Fractional resurfacing: pinkness and flaking for two to four days. You will be told exactly what to expect before you decide.
How many sessions does pigment take?
Freckles and sun spots often improve in one to three sessions. Melasma is controlled rather than cured and needs a programme of ten sessions or more at two-week intervals, plus sun protection. The clinic will tell you honestly if your trip is too short for a melasma programme.
Can acne be treated during one visit to Seoul?
A diagnosis, a first treatment session and a prescription can all happen on one visit. Active acne improves over six to twelve weeks on medication, which can continue at home.
