Who it suits
- Teenage breakouts that are already leaving marksStarting treatment early is what prevents those marks from becoming scars.
- Adult or hormonal acne along the jaw and chinThe underlying cause is addressed, not just the visible lesions.
- Red or dark marks left after acne has clearedTreated separately with V-Beam and pico toning.

What it does
What drives acne varies from person to person — excess sebum, bacteria, blocked follicles, hormonal shifts or cosmetic products can each be the main factor, and more than one often applies at once. The clinic's approach starts by identifying which causes are actually at work before choosing among medication, extraction, light therapy, vascular laser for red marks, and pico toning for dark marks.
How it is planned here
Every patient is seen directly by a dermatologist, and the plan proceeds in a set order: first bring active inflammation under control, then reduce sebum production, and only then move on to treating the marks left behind. Because it's specifically the deep, inflamed lesions on the cheeks and jaw that go on to scar, the clinic's policy is to treat those early and actively rather than wait and see.
What to expect
Laser sessions leave mild redness that clears within a day. Active breakouts typically come under control over six to twelve weeks, while the marks left behind continue fading over a longer window of three to six months.
Questions
Do I need medication?
Sometimes. Oral or topical prescriptions are used when the cause calls for them, alongside procedures.
Will treatment prevent scars?
Treating inflammation early is the most effective scar prevention there is.
Can I come as a visitor for a short stay?
Yes for a diagnosis and a treatment session; a full programme is spaced over months and can be continued with a prescription.
Why does the clinic scan my skin before choosing a laser?
Pigment, redness and pores look similar from the outside but sit at different depths and have different causes. The Mark-Vu scan shows what is under the surface, so the laser and settings are chosen for your skin rather than by guesswork. The wrong laser can make melasma worse.
Will laser treatment work on my skin tone?
Yes. Picosecond toning, vascular lasers and BBL are used safely across skin types when settings follow the skin-type reading; the dermatologist adjusts energy for darker or tanned skin and may do a test spot first.
How much downtime should I expect?
Toning and V-Beam: none to a day of mild redness. Spot treatment of sun spots: a small scab for five to seven days. Fractional resurfacing: pinkness and flaking for two to four days. You will be told exactly what to expect before you decide.
How many sessions does pigment take?
Freckles and sun spots often improve in one to three sessions. Melasma is controlled rather than cured and needs a programme of ten sessions or more at two-week intervals, plus sun protection. The clinic will tell you honestly if your trip is too short for a melasma programme.
Can acne be treated during one visit to Seoul?
A diagnosis, a first treatment session and a prescription can all happen on one visit. Active acne improves over six to twelve weeks on medication, which can continue at home.
