Who it suits
- Pores that have widened with age or excess oilRadiofrequency heats the dermis from within to tighten the pore wall.
- Uneven texture or shallow acne scarringMicroneedle channels deliver a collagen booster directly into the treated layer.
- Skin that breaks out repeatedlyHeat directed at the sebaceous gland reduces its oil output.

What it does
Pores widen for a handful of reasons — a build-up of sebum and debris, inflammation, the dermis losing support with age, and genetics. Potenza addresses this by firing radiofrequency through microneedles (insulated or non-insulated, depending on the target depth) to heat the dermis surrounding both the pore and its sebaceous gland. Quadessy achieves a similar effect by combining bipolar RF with microneedle RF in a single tip. In both cases, the heat prompts new collagen to form, which is what narrows the pore.
How it is planned here
The Potenza pumping technique uses the microneedle channels it creates as a delivery route: Potenza is applied first, with tip and depth selected for the individual's skin, followed by Juvelook or Rejuran placed into the freshly treated dermis, then standard recovery care. The Pore combo option adds toning and skincare on top of this same base treatment.
What to expect
Mild redness typically lasts one to two days, with small scabs resolving within about three days. The fullest improvement comes from a series of three sessions spaced a month apart.
Questions
Potenza or a laser?
RF microneedling spares the surface and suits all skin types; fractional laser works more on surface texture. The dermatologist decides from the Mark-Vu scan.
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream for 30 minutes before; the session is tolerable.
Downtime?
Two to three days.
Why does the clinic scan my skin before choosing a laser?
Pigment, redness and pores look similar from the outside but sit at different depths and have different causes. The Mark-Vu scan shows what is under the surface, so the laser and settings are chosen for your skin rather than by guesswork. The wrong laser can make melasma worse.
Will laser treatment work on my skin tone?
Yes. Picosecond toning, vascular lasers and BBL are used safely across skin types when settings follow the skin-type reading; the dermatologist adjusts energy for darker or tanned skin and may do a test spot first.
How much downtime should I expect?
Toning and V-Beam: none to a day of mild redness. Spot treatment of sun spots: a small scab for five to seven days. Fractional resurfacing: pinkness and flaking for two to four days. You will be told exactly what to expect before you decide.
How many sessions does pigment take?
Freckles and sun spots often improve in one to three sessions. Melasma is controlled rather than cured and needs a programme of ten sessions or more at two-week intervals, plus sun protection. The clinic will tell you honestly if your trip is too short for a melasma programme.
Can acne be treated during one visit to Seoul?
A diagnosis, a first treatment session and a prescription can all happen on one visit. Active acne improves over six to twelve weeks on medication, which can continue at home.
