What it does
Thermage FLX passes monopolar radiofrequency through a large treatment tip that heats the full volume of the dermis while the skin surface itself is protected by built-in cooling. This causes the existing collagen to contract right away, with new collagen continuing to build over the following months. The FLX platform specifically adds AccuREP tuning, which measures the tissue before each pulse and adjusts the energy accordingly, along with a vibrating handpiece that patients generally find more comfortable than earlier Thermage models.
How it is planned here
The treating physician here has completed the Thermage FLX Master Course. Rather than spreading pulses evenly across a fixed grid, the number of pulses delivered to each area is set according to that area's skin thickness and degree of laxity, and a separate eye tip is used wherever the eyelids specifically need treatment. Only genuine tips are used, with one tip per patient.
What to expect
Normal activity, including returning to work, can resume the same day. The skin feels tighter straight away, with the fuller result developing over two to six months and typically holding for a year or more. Thermage is often combined with Ultherapy Prime, which works at a deeper tissue layer, within a single treatment programme.

How many sessions?
One. Thermage is designed as a single annual treatment, repeated when the skin asks for it.
Is it painful?
Numbing cream and the built-in vibration keep it tolerable for almost all patients; heat is felt as pulses.
Thermage or Sofwave?
Both tighten the skin without downtime. Sofwave works more superficially and quickly; Thermage reaches deeper into the dermis. The Meta-Vu scan usually makes the choice obvious.
I have never had a lifting treatment. Where do I start?
With a consultation and a 3D Meta-Vu scan, not with a device. The dermatologist shows you on screen where your face has lost volume and where the skin has loosened, then explains which single treatment, if any, would change what you see. Many first-time patients leave with one treatment, not a package.
Does lifting hurt, and will I look different the next day?
Numbing cream is applied for 20 to 30 minutes first. Ultrasound treatments feel like brief deep heat; radiofrequency feels like warm pulses. Most patients go to dinner the same evening with no visible sign of treatment. Any mild redness is gone within hours.
How long before I see a result, and how long does it last?
Some tightening is visible early, but the main result builds as new collagen forms over two to three months. One treatment typically holds for a year or more, after which it is repeated as the face requires.
Can I do it on the day of my consultation?
Yes for Ultherapy, Thermage, Sofwave, Xerf and ONDA. Allow about two hours including the scan, numbing and treatment.
What does it cost?
Prices are published on this site in Korean won and depend on the shot count, which is decided from the scan. Ultherapy Prime starts at ₩450,000 per 100 shots and Thermage FLX at ₩1,450,000 per 300 shots. Cosmetic treatment carries 10% VAT.
