What it does

Hyaluronic acid filler adds volume and reshapes the treated area the moment it is injected, and because it is hyaluronic acid, the result is fully reversible. Not every product behaves the same way — firmness and lift vary by formulation, so a filler suited to the chin is not necessarily the right choice for the lips. Dr. Koh consults directly for Allergan Aesthetics' Juvéderm range.

How it is planned here

Planning starts with the Meta-Vu 3D scan, which maps exactly where volume has been lost. From there, the approach favours small, precise amounts rather than large single corrections, and cannulas are used in areas where they help reduce bruising. Treatment plans that would create an artificial or exaggerated look are not recommended here.

What to expect

Mild swelling is common for two to three days, and occasional bruising can occur. The volume effect itself is visible immediately, and depending on the specific product and treated area, results typically last between six and eighteen months.

Questions

Domestic or imported?

Both are approved. Imported products have the longer safety record and a wider range of textures; the choice depends on the area.

Is it safe?

Hyaluronic acid filler by a dermatologist with anatomical training is a safe, reversible treatment. Hyaluronidase is on hand.

Downtime?

Two to three days of mild swelling.

Is Botox safe for a first-time patient?

Botulinum toxin has decades of safety data and is the most common aesthetic treatment in the world. The dermatologist uses the minimum effective dose placed by your own muscle pattern, so the result is natural rather than frozen.

Botox or filler: what is the difference?

Botox relaxes a muscle (wrinkles from expression, a square jaw); filler adds volume (folds, lips, chin, under-eye hollows). They solve different problems and are often combined.

Korean, Xeomin or Allergan: which should I choose?

All three are approved and effective. Imported brands have the longer international record; Korean toxin is the most economical. The dermatologist advises at consultation and the price difference is published on this site.

What if I do not like the result?

Botox wears off over three to four months. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with Hyalase (₩150,000 per area) within days if needed.

Can I fly home the same day?

Yes. Avoid alcohol, saunas and strenuous exercise for 24 hours, and do not press on treated areas.
