Selection criteria and method
Scar mapping, not one laser for all
Rolling, boxcar and ice-pick scars respond to different tools. The dermatologist maps each scar type under magnification and on the Mark-Vu scan before choosing the combination.
Subcision first for tethered scars
Rolling scars are released from the fibrous bands beneath them; otherwise resurfacing on top of a tethered scar gives little.
Fractional CO2 (UltraPulse Alpha) and UltraClear for texture
DeepFX and SCAAR FX modes reach up to 4 mm for deep scars; UltraClear's 2910 nm cold fibre laser treats texture with less downtime.
TCA CROSS for ice-pick scars, Potenza and collagen for shallow ones
High-strength TCA on the pit itself; RF microneedling and Juvelook or Sculptra to lift broad shallow scars.
Staged over months, continued between trips

How many sessions does acne scar treatment take?
Usually three to five sessions four to eight weeks apart, depending on scar type and depth. Improvement continues for months after the last session as collagen remodels.
Can I start acne scar treatment on a short trip to Seoul?
Yes. Consultation, scar mapping and the first session can be done on the same day. Subcision plus fractional CO2 needs five to seven days of visible recovery, so plan it early in the trip; follow-up is by photo and the next session on your next visit.
How much does acne scar treatment cost in Seoul?
